According to James Rickards Facebook page he passed away January 22 , 2026.
he was a medic in HHC.. He was in country when I arrived @ HHC in April 68.

I received a letter from Cora T Keene. her husband RALPH D KEENE died 08/02/2024. He was born 02/18/1946. He was in D company , earth moving platoon , 589th Eng. Batt. I worked with him building that air strip near vihnthan. I have sent a letter and a card to Cora. Ralph was a great guy and will be missed by those that new him.
hard times have come upon Cora and she had to sell her home to get by. I have her new address if you need it.

Bruce Rittschof, if Ralph has passed please get all the info to Perry so he can post it for all!

Im going to write a letter to Cora, Ralph Keene`s wife. Ralph and Cora came to our mini reunion in Carlisle PA. a few years back and were very nice people, I spent a lot of time with them and talked about his stories about Happy Valley.

Bruce, I too have tried to get Platoon members to attamed reunions in the past. It is not the easiest thing to do and takes time and patience to make phone calls leave messages that do not get replied to so you call again. I reviewed the slit of names in your post and could not find Warick; we have listed Reischman as deceased 5/13/2022 and Keene 8/2/2024. Sorry to have to tell you that but it happens.

With our members dying, having medical or physical things that does not allow them to travel are among the reasons we held our last reunion last September. My Platoon, the Earthmoving Patton of C Company are going to try and have mini get togethers as we have since 2010. Even if we only have two or three guys show up it will be worth it to do the planning and communication of setting it up.

I wish everyone and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. If anyone has questions I still look at the Guest Book on a regular basis. Essayons!
