Sorry I have SLOW DOWN ON THE CHEERING SECTION. You have to realize I am old and don't think as good as I did 47 years ago. All of you young pups can still do the thinking. We old dogs like John Miller will have to make do with what we have left. Will see you in Branson next month. ;D |

I hope everyone is getting their gear cleaned and packed for the Reunion. It isn't very long now.
I've had several reports about a new Vietnam Memorial that has been built at the entrance to College of the Ozarks, which isn't too far from the Stone Castle. Evidently it is First Class and becoming one of the "must see" attractions when in the area. If anyone has visited it, please give us a report. Willie, haven't heard much out of you. You are slacking on your cheerleading duties for the reunion!! See y'all soon. Dennie P |

Bob,glad you made it to the memorial'Anita and I made up a momento with a 589th decal and a flag and placed it with all the others at the recruiting center in Chattanooga. Its just a few miles from my house as the crow flies. We sent some photos to Perry of us placing it at the cite.I am very proud of the way Chattanooga Cleveland and the surrounding communties responded to this terrorist attack.Patriotism is still alive and well in Tennessee

My wife and i went to the memorial celebration this weekend in chattanooga! All i can say is it was awesome!!These Marines were my son-in-laws men whom he commanded. The outpouring from the military and the community was fantastic.I think we are getting things right, finally by depending on oneanother and community. Some other citys need to sit up and take notice on how to get things done together.Proud of our young military men and women of today! Proud to be an AMERICAN!!D'ont think we can make the reunion this year but still support all my 589th brothers!!Welcome Home!

WOW! Did you look at the calendar today? If you did you had to notice that this time next month the 589th Reunion will be over! Seems like it was taking forever to get here and now it will be over before we know it! Looking forward to seeing all my Brothers and having a good time with you. If you have not registered yet now would be a good time! See you soon Brothers!

To every one involved in the Memorial Day ceremonies, and those who have been otherwise involved in locating the families of our "fallen." Fantastic! Please write your experiences up for inclusion in the 589th web page of short stories. If we get enough 589th short stories overall, we might produce a book of 589th short stories as a companion to the 589th history book we did last year. Great job Guys! :super:
