Well, as you know Cirilo does not get on the computer so this is Diane for him, he was hospitalized 5 times last year but doing ok. We are praying that this next appeal will get us somewhere with V.A. he is not a candidate for the heart transplant due to new problems... But be sure I will NEVER give up!!
He is really hoping that he will get to feeling better soon, he wants to make it to 2015 September reunion. We have a friend that drove us out to Phoenix Az. for the meet and greet, he was in Vietnam 1970 with the 518 ?? Engineer's. his name is Jack Godinho. He is wanting to drive us

Nick, hope your recovery is easy and you don't have very much pain.

Part of my last entry did not show up. What I was saying was DO NOT be afraid to work with the VA. There are many stories that did not turn out well but overall the care and service is great. If you are told no you have the right to ask why and to see if there are different things to try. If you have questions I suggest you call Chuck Begley for direction on where to go, he will guide you along. Hell-o Brothers! I am sitting at home recovering from right knee replacement that I had done 2 weeks ago. All of this is being handled by the VA. Where I live I was able to go to an outside surgeon as there is not one on staff at the VA Hospital. The care, the follow up, (painful) therapy and all medication is being paid for by the VA with some of the cost being paid by Medicare (the VA rep suggested home therapy by Medicare as the are more flexible and pay 100%). Right now I am walking with a cane and hope that when the staples come out tomorrow I will feel even better. DO NOT be

Folks, I am still trying to locate Charles Cooper 51A10 (Concrete crew). I think he was from Detroit. If anyone in the area has the time and can do a local search to locate him I would appreciate it.
