ONE AND THE SAME. I REMEBER YOU FROM OUR CAMP ACROSS FROM AN OLD ABANDONED FRENCH FORT A FEW MILES NORTH OF KONTUM CITY. THE FORT WAS MANNED BY A KOREAN TIGER COMPANY LED BY AN OFFICER WE CALLED CAPTAIN DIAMOND BECAUSE OF HIS INFACTUATION WITH THE BEATLES SONG "LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS ". :toast:

Thanks, Larry, for the update on the condition of the roads in Vietnam. I've often wondered just how well our hard work endured. I've made some very strong hints that I wanted the book on the history of the 589th for Christmas. We shall see if Santa brings it to me.

Hello Perry,
I sent an e-mail to you , but I just received notice that it was undeliverable. I wanted to check the address I have to make sure I have it right. Was Sawgrass Dr. correct. I just got my dvds back. They came out pretty good. I think everyone will enjoy them. It was so nice to be able to see ourselves when we were so young. Was sad, though, to see so many brothers who are no longer with us. God Bless. Peter Tamas Reply Peter,
My 589th email is: 589th@589thengineers.com. I sent you an email with my home address for you to send the dvd's too. I am really interested in getting them up on the website for all of our brothers to enjoy. Let me know if you need anything else. |
