Happy Veterans Day to all my Brothers in the 589th and to all Brothers everywhere! As you can see from the previous comments it has been a busy time since the Reunion for Perry. I know he has spent a lot of time working on the "New PX" page. It is now ready for Christmas Shopping or resupplying your needs. Also, Bob is working on next years Reunion Memorial Service for our Memorial Ceremony. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to keep the 589th running and working for you, our member Brothers. This is also an election year so we have that to work on also. Remember that only those attending the Reunion are eligible to vote for our Officers so if you want input in the election it is time to start making your plans to attend the 2015 Reunion. We are a great Organization and we have grown into one of the best around, just look at some other websites. I hope you can all attend this year! So again Happy Veteran's Day to you all and Welcome Home!

Just when you think the 589th Website it can't get any better, it does. I have perused the new PX pages and am amazed by all Perry's work. I have to admit I don't understand the complexity of what goes on behind the scenes to make the site function, but I know it is very complex and takes lots and lots of time to create. I, for one, appreciate all the time and effort Perry has donated to make our Website what it is - the best military association website on the Internet. Thanks Brother.

I need your help. In preparation for the 589th Association's Memorial Service to be held during our 2015 Reunion, I would like to gather some personal information on those we lost in Vietnam. I would like to assemble this information for use during the "Reading of the Names" ceremony. I understand it has been a long time, but .......let's remember them in the manner each of us would like to be remembered. Their names can be found on the "Our Losses" link on the Home Page. Please e-mail me (bobs@centerforsolutions.org ) with any information you have on them - even short descriptions such as "friendly, or "dedicated", or "fun to be around" are helpful. Any information you have, regardless of how brief, will be used to build a profile of them as Brothers we can never forget. Thank you in advance for your help and consideration. I am very pleased to inform you that our "New 589th PX" is finally ready for you to place your orders. It hasn't been easy but I believe it will be worth it in the long run. It should enable us to branch out a bit and offer a wider selection of items that we could not have done with the old PX format, not to mention making it much easier for our volunteers to process them.

We are so looking forward to attending the Meet and Greet in Phoenix Az. Cirilo hasn't been well enough to go across country to attend the Branson reunion so we are excited to attend Phoenix. Cirilo has been now diagnosed with Parkinson's, so traveling is not easy on his body, he gets so exhausted at times but I KNOW this will perk him right up!!!
We are also bringing Joe Silva, Cirilo's cousin that help drive us out to Fort Leonard Wood in 2009. Also attending will be my Grandson Marc Wiseman and possibly his girl friend Stacey, Marc attends NAU in Flagstaff Az. so he will drive out there and spend 3 days with us, and last but not least are Jack and Julie Godinho, Cirilo's best friend/Vietnam buddy that was stationed out at Fort Lenard wood before Vietnam, I think he was with the 518th. Engr.

Glad that Col don is better. He is a great person. After talking with him At the reunion in 2010, I know he was a great commander. So Col Don, here hoping you will be able to make next years reunion.

Hey Guys-Good News. Had a call this afternoon from Col Don Ramsay's wife who said he is recovering well. Scheduled to be released next week to go home. He will continue to have in home care and rehab but being home will be good medicine. He has been undergoing therapy at the hospital and can eat regular food now. She said he has received many cards and letters from 589th guys and they both are so very appreciative. She asked me to pass that, along with their thanks, to everyone until he is able to do so himself. I didn't ask what hospital he is in but she said it is the best. It is the one where Superman was treated when he had the accident that paralyzed him.
She mentioned several times how appreciative he has been for the communication, best wishes and hearing from everyone who wrote him. Sounds like that may have helped with his recovery. Thanks for your response to him. He is a good guy and the 589th means a lot to him. Thanks Brothers.

perry or nick, i found a paper today with a bunch of names from the 589th on it. how do i get it to either one of youall? my wife scanned it but we cant figure out where to go next!!can either one of u call me at 423-239-8729 please!
