hey nick earlier this year my wife and i were waiting to be seated at olive garden and i started talking to two young men,(marines) i found out. one was leaving for afgan. the other leaving for okinawa. both looked like teenage boys, kinda like we did before we left for nam. anyway i watched them and one of their girlfriends order. when our waitress came by later i asked for their bill, and not to say anything to them. the manager was so impressed that she came by and thanked me for what i did and told me my meal was free for doing that! sometimes we have to reach out to our fellow brothers in arms. people didn't treat us that way when we came home but you know life goes on and you do what you have to do! welcome home and enjoy the reunion!

good luck trying to get disability on hearing I try for almost two years no luck yet

Yesterday I was in Joplin, MO for a VA scheduled hearing test for a disability claim and my wife and I stopped at an Iron Skillet for Breakfast. When we went to out our booth a young couple (probably in their 40's) were seated at the booth next to ours. The gentleman said good morning and and I said hi how you doing. The normal thing to do when you make eye contact with someone. When they were leaving the gentleman said have a good day and I said you too. A few minutes later something happened that I have not experienced before. Our waitperson came over and said "I am not supposed to tell you who, but your ticket is taken care of and Thank You". Now that is nice but until you know what I was wearing it may seem strange. I had one of our t-shirts on and a Vietnam Veterans cap. It was obvious why it was done and to agree with my wife it made us tear up a little. It was a nice feeling and now I need to pay it forward which I will do. Welcome Home! Made my day!

Any good with a video camera and planning on bringing it? It would be fun to have some tape of the Karaoke and other events if you would be willing to bring it and take some video for us!
