I also have heart issues and sleep apnea. It is well documented and medically proven that sleep apnea contributes to, and can cause, heart failure. That is why the treatment of sleep apnea is so important. The VA is messing with you. What I didn’t know is that sleep apnea is something the VA compensates for. I will research the medical studies and send them to you directly. In the meantime, go take a nap and get some sleep – at least you will feel more rested.

I had a heart attack 4 years ago and the VA gave me a 40% disability. I'm still having some issues as well as sleep apnea. The VA says the onus is on me to prove that the sleep apnea lead to the heart attack instead of visa versa, to prove it's service related. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Any help with advice or links to medical studies would be appreciated. Thanks.

hello every won , on Feb 9th 1968 i hit a 50# anti tank mine with a 290 scraper. yes it was ugly, it seems no records were kept , so for 40 years i just had to live with the idea of doing with out help from OUR government , yesterday i received a letter saying i did not file in a timely manner , whats with that , if your hurt and lost blood on the battle field you get a purple hart , well i was just turned down and i even had a letter from a Lt col. stating he made a mistake and forgot to put me in for it . wow what a great place we live .ill bet the v / c aren't treated as bad as America treats there vets , so no purple for doing the right thing , ;D :bonk: i think some one need to draw these guys out just like they did the VA , and kick there asses or let us do it . thank you brothers , see you all in Sept, r g carp

Don, I was in B Co. for 21 months and we had the Bridge Trucks from the 553 with us twice. The first was when we Convoyed down to Tuy Phong in March/April of 69 to build a Blast Proof barracks for MAC-V. Ther other time was in the early part of 70 hauling materials down to our new L Z, LZ Last Chance. If yopu're interestyed I think I have a couple of Photos of the Briodge Trucks?

Brothers Willie and Tim,

I have sent each of you a personal note, but also would like to comment on your losses on behalf of your brothers who are unable to reply. I can speak for all of us when I say we are deeply saddened and burdened by your grief. If we were able to lighten your load, we would do so. If we were able to make the pain go away, we would do so. If we were able to protect you from the hardships of life, as Brothers we would do so. Please know that you can lean on us, turn to us to carry your load, and count on us to help you up when you have fallen. As Brothers, we will be thinking of you often and keeping you in our prayers.
