Don't want hurt anyone feeling, but the soldier that got killed b the Korean guard was David Enmon. Robert Adams was the team leader. I think about every day. I just can't get it out of my mind. I guess we all have members of that time. Hey, you guys come to the reunion in Sep. would like to see all of y'all. Remember we all love one another as Brothers in Arms.

Thanks Bruce After 47 years names and faces are hard to remember. I used to drive by that bridge on a dailey run to Quin Non to pick up supplies, I don't think I ever heard the details. I just remember Cpt Harbach anouncing his loss the next morning.

his name was Robert Adams,he was in D co. 2nd const. platoon,in my squad.Bob was a speck 5 and my friend.he took the train and the boat with us to nam.our first detail was to assist in guarding that stupid bridge where he lost his life.all day long we watched those Korean soldiers move up and down the banks of that river.we saw the local fishernen using explosives to kill fish.we were in a bunker on the inland side of the bridge and on the left side of it.there were lots of what looked like sugarcane growing along the banks and we could see what looked like trails in them, that the Koreans made.when the night came we saw them hide.that night Bob thought he`d go down there spook the one we could see,he never came back.real early the next morning there were Korean MPs and lots of brass everywhere as they brought Bob out of the cane.the Korean soldier had hand cuffs on and his head hanging low.I have lived with all my life, with hope no one would remember.I was just 18,nam only got worse

i ran out of space on my other comment , i did not say those things to hurt or make anyone any less proud of there country or what we did in the service , i posted it because it just is not fare to let our American born kids have to take a second place to others that have came here by the thousands ,i don't know what our leaders are thinking , these people that have came here by the thousands ran from there country so what makes our government think they will help defend this one , sorry brothers , i love my kids as you love your s and now we have to fight right here at home in order to try to give our American born kids the same chances we had , thank you brother , and please try to understand i am not trying to make any one feel bad just voicing my opinion , R G carpenter :bonk:  ;D :smash:

served in "C" Company 02/67 to 02/68. Had prostate cancer and now is in remission. Now have diabetes mellitus, chirrhosis of liver, blood disorder, bone marow disorder all associated with Agent Orange. Also suffer from PTDS. Also I would like to hear you guys talk some about your Cooks and Medics that took care of you during the time you v were away from home. I was involved in several indicents that have never been mentioned or that is a matter of U.S. Army Records. Yes I know some things were keep unreported to make higher ups look good on their performance evaluations.
As a matter of note I earned a MOS as a Heavy Equipment Operator and OJT's as a cook. I was a draftee (2-yrs) and proud of it. I served in the U.S. Army Reserve for one year and disharged as a E-6. Earned a B.S. and M.S. Degrees using the GI Bill. I was employed as a Supervisory Special for a large Government Agency and retired as a GS-13 I think is equal to a military lieutenant Colonel.
