Perry. Great job on the website. Your dedication to this project continues to amaze me. I have been attempting to give the site a workout and have managed to kick a few glitches out of the tall grass. However, what I have determined is that the glitches are of my own making. Between my office and home, I use a couple of different versions of Internet Explorer (IE), which seem to handle page applications differently. For example, I may have a problem on a page using one computer, but the problem disappears on the other computer. It is simply a reality that different versions of IE handle applications differently and there is not much we can do about it. In the past, as I have updated my version of IE to fix one problem, I have typically created another. It looks to me like you have done everything possible to make sure the site operates well on a number of different platforms; it has to be up to us to work out our own little glitches. Although I certainly wouldn’t mind if you fixed all my problems for me, I would rather have you start by moving some snow.

Perry. I see that we all have generic avatars so does this mean that sometime in the future we will be able to have avatars of our choosing ?

I appreciate Perry passing along the sad news regarding Ken Bossaller. I don’t remember much about Ken in Vietnam, although I was present the night Jessie Red Hawk was killed. Ken called me a couple of times since the formation of the 589th Association, and as I recall, our conversations were about how I thought the members of the 589th felt about Ken after the accidental shooting. I believe Ken spend several years in prison as a result of the incident, and carried around a load of guilt the rest of his life. I encouraged him to attend a reunion, but was obviously not encouraging enough. I hope Ken found the forgiveness he was looking for, and deserved, prior to his passing. I, for one, have long ago forgiven him. May you rest in peace, Ken.
