Follow-up in my search: More clues --- The fact that the jacket has a USARV combat patch indicates that the individual may have been an early member and extended his tour to transfer for an "early-out." The GCM indicates he was 'RA' and served 3 years. The jacket has SP5 rank insignia. There is no Vietnam Cross of Gallantry unit citation ribbon with w/frame above the right pocket. He may have left the unit before the time frame for the award. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello brothers, just wanted to see what was going on. I just made reservaions for this year at Branson. I was wondering if any of ya'll might have your old reel to reel with the tapes from Nam that is in working condition. Yea,-----------I know I sold my for 45 dollars after a few years. If so we could mybe use it instead of changing cds all the time. Let me know if anyone has a unit we could use. cell 407 808 2981 or e-mail thanks Randy

I'm asking for some 'search' help. I am in Princeville, Il. (pop. 1700). We have an Historical Museum here wich has a really great military history area, highlighting llocal men and women wo have served in all wars and in the service in general. As an amatuer historian (MMH Norwich Univ.) I have been asked to find a name. We have an Army green uniform 'blouse' (jacket) with "Mountain Mover" crests on the epulets, Engineer lapel brass, a USARV combat patch and a GCM, NDSM, VNCM w/1 bronze star and VNSM ribbons. On the inside of the collar label, written in blue ink, are the initials " L.D.."---- nothing else. based on the single campaign star, I think the individual was either in the Battalion at the beginning of the RVN deployment 1967), or at the end (1971). If anyone remembers anyone from the Princeville IL. area, with the initials L.D. or mention of relatives from the area, it would be of great help and much appreciated. Thanks P.S. Welcome home to all of you --- we aree all brothers. Tom
