Just heard about this site. Looks to be pretty neat. Spent 14 months in the 589th in Nam. Went from one end to the other. Good times along with scary times. A lot of good people I served with no doubt. Wouldn't want to go back but will never forget. Hope every VET had a good veterans day!! WEASEL

Pete: I have the same feelings as you. My wife knew I done two tours in NAM but she never understood the way I am until the reunion. She knows now what we went through and knows why I am the way I am. Hope to see you and everyone else at reunion next year. GOD BLESS ALL OF BROTHERS OUT THERE.

I had one of the most memorable times of my life at the reunion. I was glad that my wife could be with me to help her understnad what we went through and to reinforce a lot of my memories that I was beginning to question. I had to laugh when we were called the boat people but it is what it is and I'm proud that we go the 589th going and left it in such good shape for the later arrivals. I'm making my plans for next year and hope to see more boat people.
