Thanks to all who helped with our 2nd Reunion. I'm sure it is a monumental task and all the hard work is greatly appreciated. I enjoyed the trip on post to see the trainees in action. To Lee Ravdin: I too was amazed at how young the Sergent Major looked so I talked to him for a while and he said he had 24 years of service. If he joined right out of high school that would make him 42. Looking forward to next year.

Just wanted to tell everyone what a great weekend this was. To see you guys after 42 years was incredible. The best part was being able to confirm certain occurances that I thought were a bit cloudy after all this time. Perry, you did a wonderful job here, can't say enough. As an aside, I can't believe how young that sergeant major was! Guess they are not still 50 and crusty!! Let's all stay in touch. Best to all, Lee

Jim Weaver: You are right. The BOAT BROTHERS are to be proud of the 589th. We took the Bn from nothing and made it into one of the best Bn in the U.S. ARMY. We set the exsample for our BROTHERS to follow. And they did. I am proud of every BROTHER that served in the 589th and always will be;

Was a very nice reunion for those of us who were the boat people who could see each other for the first time in 42 years. What some of you dont know is that we were together from 1966-1968. So it was really great to see them again and to meet some of the ones who came after us in the Viet Nam War. Perry, thanks to you and all of the others who put this toghter thanks again. PS is thir some way to have a card made up that says (life time member of the 589 th Eng Bn with a crest as the back ground and name printed on one line and signature on the other. If you would like I will take care of it. Jim Weaver

This was my first reunion & the best time I have had in a long time. Even though there wasn't anybody there that I directly served with, it still felt like family. Perry, you and the staff know how to do it right. I can't say Thank You enough. Perry, I think you should run for President of the US - you got mt vote !! Thanks Again & see you next year. Tom

The Goodman Family would like to thank everyone once again for the wonderful time we had at the reunion. It was a pleasure and an honor to meet all of you. We went with slight apprehension because we didn't want to cause emotional upset but we found that it was a healing process for all,us included. You and your wives are all beautiful caring people. We enjoyed the stories about Norm and if anyone has more we would love to hear them. We have been informed that we are invited to the next reunion so we hope to see you then. Perry and everyone who helped in putting the reunion together, you did a great job.

What a great reunion! Thanks to Perry and all the organizers for their hard work. I wanted to say that we didnâ??t have the choice of who we wanted to serve with when we went to Vietnam, but I can say now that I would not have wanted to serve with anyone other than the great group of guys that I did. They were the best then and still are to this day. I proud to serve in the 589th and I am especially proud of my band of brothers in C Company and the EM platoon. I canâ??t wait to see you all again next year.

Perry your the MAN!, We had a great time, I am sorry that I was unable to attend all the activities, but my old body just can do what it did in Nam. (maybe thats a good thing) Great friends great food and many memories, thanks to all. We did have to buy a new suit case for the HAM and STONE to get the home... what a trip that was. I want to THANK EVERYONE for the work you did to put this together. I need your help, I need to find out which one of you recieved the (ARMY photo/scrapbook) I have the paper for all the pages and the embellishments for it and will mail them to you. Also in returning home early this morning, very tired I decided to let the mail waite...but on top of the pile was a letter from Jewel Clayborn, she thanked us for inviting her and her family to the reunion, but felt it would be hard on her. She has moved and is alittle out of sorts. She wrote a 2 page letter about her life with BillyJo, she wants to hear about him in VietNam, but I didn't really know him until we traveled together the day of the ambuse. Is there any one out there that could write to her about him. If you knew him and would like to contact her please let me know and I will send you her information. Thanks again for a great time..
