For those who were unable to attend this years reunion, you missed a great time. I know my wife now understands a little better what we went through. It was great to see old comrades and make new ones. Looking forward to next years.

There was transfer of some personnel between the 517th Light Equipment Co. and the 589th during the fall of 67. The reason for it was to keep everybody in the 517th from rotating home at the same time as they came over on a ship and all had the same amount of time. I assume it was the same for the 589th and all the boat people. I was one that was transferred into the 589th at that time and was wondering if anyone else was involved. I have never talked to anyone that did. I believe that a man named Gary Strong did but I have had no luck tracking him down. There should have been several involved in this.
