Kenny, glad you liked the DVD, I left the NAM on Oct 15 1970, after 27 months I'd had enough of the GREEN MACHINE. I first met Rip at Tuy Phong in the spring of 69 when we were building a barracks for MAC-V, he had just come in Country. He, Barnie and I were pretty close.

To Fred Guth - there are a bunch of us who are 589th members who were on Jane, Wunder Beach, and Camp Evans. They include Lee Brown, Oliver Butler, Glen Clark, David Cordingley, Gary Cowie, John Engdahl, James Goff, Clyde Hutson, Donihue Lucas, Hugh McCaa, Joe Newell, William Stafford, and Donald Swensrud. When I find time I will try to find Sam Hollenkamp, 1LT Hines, and Willie Goodwin. We also had a wounded grader operator by the name of Slusher, but I have no idea what his first name was. (Our grader operators took a beating -Stafford, Goff, and Slusher WIA; Goodman KIA).

Does anyone remember Bolo Bowman from Delta Company? Does anyone remember when he was cleaning his weapon and it went off and almost shot the guy in the next tent. Lol!
