I am Norm Goodman's sister. I have been exchanging e-mails with Larry Jinkins and Dennis Cluth for the last couple of months, great guys. First, I want to thank all of you for serving our country. I know your "heroes welcome home" was not the best, I want to apologize for our fellow countrymen for that. Next, I would like to thank anyone who befriended my brother. It is a great comfort to know that he was with such a great group of buddies while he was over there. I hope you are all doing well and I wish all of you the best.

I am still in awe at the reunion! I thought it would never happen and that I would probably not ever get to see and meet many of my old friends and buddies from our Viet Nam days. I read Mrs. Silva's note and that is very true-"The healing has begun" and it will get better and better each year as we have more re-unions. I am already looking forward to the next one. I check the Web site often and enjoy reading all the e-mails and blogs. Keep them coming.

I want to thank all of you men for the support you gave Cirilo (my husband) the gift of this reunion was more than he could have ever imagined. Thank ALL of you! He had some trouble remembering names and faces, but as we were traveling back to Ca. he would talk about something he remembered, and the healing has started.. I know as time goes on he will remember more and have more piece within his soul. Thank you all and God Bless you, our HERO's.

Thank you all again for making this a weekend I won't soon forget, it will take months to wipe the grin off my face for more reasons than one (C Co, there will be payback!). The time and effort that you and I have put into this reunion was paid back 10 fold and I thank you all for recognizing my part in it. We had 42 guys from HHC, A, B, C, D, and the 513th DT companies attending. I will be posting photos very soon and a more detailed report of the events of our 1st Annual 589th Engineer Battalion Assn. (Vietnam) reunion including the new officers and committees that were elected to help insure we continue this Association in years to come. Once again, Thank You All!

AGAIN I WOULD LIKE TO THANK PERRY FOR ALL HIS HARD WORK AND DEDICATION TO GETTING OUR REUNION TOGETHER. IT WAS UNDOUBTLY THE BEST WEEKEND WE COULD HAVE HAD SEEING OUR "OLD" BUDDIES AND MEETING THE GUYS FROM HHC,B,C, AND D CO. AS MANY AS WE WILL EVER HAVE, I DON'T THINK WE WILL REMEMBER THEM AS WELL AS THIS ONE. AGAIN, THANKS BUDDY.

I'm bringing a slide projector and some rotary slide trays. Most of the pics that I took were slides, but I will have some prints as well.
