In April 2018 my wife and I flew to Vietnam to meet my Vietnamese daughter Linh that i knew nothing about. While in Vietnam Linh wanted to us to go to the place that her mother Thanh and I were at. We went to LZ Last Chance and could see that a water co called Vinh Hao water and moved in the last chance boundaries. Linh and I were able to work the south perimeter to area of my bunker by the southwest corner of the compound,where the security platoon was bunked. It was so moving .

I want to offer my thoughts and prayers to those mentioned in Bob Spencer's Latest News post. The members and spouse that he mentioned will not be forgotten. I met most of them at a 589th Reunion otherwise I may not have known them and it surely expresses the reason why we all must attend the Reunion this year. We have been stuck on 25 for a while now and time is getting shorter than you realize. I hope to see you all at this years Reunion! Sign up now and see you in Branson!

We have 25 out of 26 grave site visits scheduled for Memorial Day. Thank you for your help this year. If anyone can visit Ed Kingery's grave in Glascow KY contact me. This year as we continue to honor our fallen 589th Engineer Battalion heroes on Memorial Day we will be visiting grave sites again this year. We are not getting any younger and there are a finite number of years that we can continue these visits but we promise to continue honoring our fallen heroes for as long as we are able.
