Mitchel Czarneski is the grandson of Joseph Fasolo who passed away 1-1-2019. Joe was in A Co from Sep68-Sep69 and I think was in 2nd Shop. Mitchel would very much appreciate hearing from anyone that knew his grandfather. If you have or can identify any photos of him please let me know so I can forward them to Mitchel and his family. Any stories would also be appreciated. Thanks Brothers. You can call me or leave messages here.

Steve Mejia,
The hill your father mentioned is where we first made our home in Vietnam. When we landed and offloaded our equipment we headed inland. The CO, Cpt Sparks told us to look up at a hill above the 84th Engineer Bn HQ and said welcome to your new home. It had been partially cleared and leveled. We did the rest and built company barracks, mess hall etc all while spending 8-10 hours per day working on assigned projects. After it was completed or at least pretty well along, someone did say get off and we headed even farther inland. Several guys on here who can tell you more details. I think your dad may have been in my platoon. Ask him if he remembers LT Pendergrass or our Platoon Sgt, SFC Patterson. Mr Collis or Mr Begley, if you are out there chime in. Welcome Home to your dad. Welcome Home Brothers Dennie P |
