I just want to thank Walt and Sandy Kazenski for putting on a very enjoyable mini-reunion in Hersey PA. It was a fun time and it was great to see all of the 589th brothers who turned out, some for their first reunion. This shows the value of these regional reunions

It is not too late to make plans to attend the Branson Mini Reunion Oct 10 - 13. I would love to see as many of you attend as possible. We are getting no younger and none of us know how long our health will hold out and and allow us to travel and spend time with our brothers.

Dennie, Glad you are OK.Glad you did not have much damage. Patsy is very sick. She get worse every day.

Returned home Thursday from a couple days off the island when we evacuated for Dorian. Got back to no problems, other than one small back yard oak tree that blew down on to the back fence. I don't even think the power went out while we were gone. Anyway we were fortunate and thankful for it.
Hope all the folks on up the east coast come through the storm OK.

John Faraca, B Co. Jan68-Apr69, From his wife:

Dear Perry, I regret to inform you that SFC John Anthony Faraca has passed away on Sunday August 4th, 2019 in his sleep. If you could pass the word around to his friends of the 589th. I know that he was really looking forward to the next 589th reunion. He will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a time of which is undetermined.

I want to take this to Thank the committee for sending Cirilo A.K.A "Bush Bandit" his coin he got very excited to receive it, but cannot thank you his self due to his recent bout with illness. As of 28th January he has been hospitalized 7 times, the 6th time was a stroke which has impaired his speech, at times he can make sense but not always so he will only try to talk to family members. I apologize for not responding sooner but my days are so full and by the time I sit down to make phone calls its usually late..
So sorry for not calling you Perry but with the time difference you would have shot me if I had called..
The coin is BEAUTIFUL and boxed perfectly, it arrived just before his birthday so he showed it off with his other birthday gifts to everyone...
I had a phone update from Larry Jenkins last week and it sounds like we are all having our ups and downs, I send prayers to all that the Lord keeps you in his prayers.
