Received a call from Glen Clark's sister today informing me that Glen passed away in June 2017. Glen never made a Reunion but Larry Jinkins and Dennis Cluth visited our C CO EM Platoon Brother and many of us had talked to him on the phone. Glen had told me that he lived life the way he wanted too and that if the weather and water was right he went shrimping off the coast of Florida if not he stayed home and relaxed and enjoyed a beer. Glen was fun to talk to and he was very colorful and full of life! May God Bless him and his family!

In regards to HOF By-Laws what is the average yearly expense since it began?
Knowing this should help in making a good decision. Reply Good question.
Our main expenses are for flowers, cards, postage, and flags. Bob could and will give us the exact amount spent on those for each year but I am reluctant to bother him right now with everything else he is dealing with. I can get pretty close though since I have paid for the flowers a few times myself with Bob's blessings. I would say that our average costs for the last 4 years would be very close to $3200 a year. We paid a little more in year one than Y2, 3 and 4. This past year we spent roughly $3000 but some of the flowers were not quite up to 589th standards, so we might bump the $3200 cost again next year. I hope this gives everyone a better understanding of the program budget. |

I spoke to Caroline Mayes a bit ago and she informed me that John has lung cancer and will be having an operation soon to remove a portion of his lung.

I have just received word from John Beblo's wife that John passed away Friday, July 13th after a short battle with lung cancer. John was assigned to C Co.

Willie if u want to hold reunion some where else u have to present a package with prices so we can vote on it. The board will have it where we tell them to. I will not vote for a place that is more expensive than where we are now
