50 year ago to day was a bad day for me and my squad. Was building a bridge west of An Kay and out of no where the RPG's came falling in. Gun Ship's saved the day. Thank you God for your help.

Yes it was cold after being in much warmer weather for a year. Went to get my drivers license renewed and the girl wanted to know why I had such a tan ? Will miss seeing you both. Stay healthy my brother.

Roger, We may have. I know one thing, when we got to Fort Lewis It was cold. You know, that is one year I will never forget. But when you think back it was kind of a fun year. I wish I could come to the reunion this year but can't make it. Maybe next year.

Robert, I am sorry you missed the fire fight that night. I made it and a lots more of them. On April 10, 1968 I left.

50 Years ago this month (March) since I deployed to Vietnam, flu in to Saigon at sun rise, the air field had be attacked that night, the next night I was in Charlie Company of the 589 th. And they where attack, the next day I arrived in my Company Delta. Finally I was issued a M16 and ammo. That night we came under attack, but this time had a rifle and ammo. I was so tired from traveling after two beers; I fell asleep through that attack and miss it.
