This post is to encourage each of you to watch your e-mail for a notice of the 2017 589th Association Reunion. In addition, just in case your notice becomes lost in cyberspace, or like me you simply misplace it, we posted a duplicate notice on the Association’s home page under “Latest News”. The supporting pages for the reunion, such as the registration page, the who is attending page, and the program page are each under construction, but will be ready soon.

So please mark your calendars for September 6-10, 2017 in Branson, Missouri as the date and location of the 589th Engineer Association 2017 Reunion. Please remember that this will be the 50th Anniversary of the 589th Engineers landing in Vietnam, so our goal is to make this a very special event. I hope to see you there.

Brothers, I have bad news. Patsy cancer is so close to her heart that they think they can not do surgery. We have an appointment Tuesday to see what treatment they have planned. We are thinking about going to M.D. Anderson in Houston Texas if we don't like what they say Tuesday. You have no idea how I feel. It is a very weary feeling to know you might have to give the one you love. Please keep us in your prayers.

GO CUBS GO!!! 108 years of frustration ends! Wait until next year no more! Only waiting to next year is so we can do it again!!

I have news!!! Patsy cancer has not spread/. It is confine to one area and that is in her right lung. We start treatment tomorrow. We thank everyone for there prayer and may God Bless everyone of you.

Dennie and Bob, thanks for the message on the Web Site. I will let everyone know how it all comes out. We are just praying that they can cure it some way. Shocked and saddened by the news in your post. Just talked to Miss Patsy last week and she was lovely and upbeat as usual.
Please let us know if we can be of any help other than keeping both of you in our thoughts and prayers. Tell her not to worry about the dust bunnies!! She will understand that.

Willie – I am saddened by your news regarding Patsy’s health. She looked so good in Lexington that nobody would have ever known that she wasn’t feeling well. She is a tough lady, so I know she will carry that same positive attitude through her treatment. We will all be looking forward to seeing Patsy’s smiling face at the next reunion, so please keep us up-to-date as she progresses through whatever treatment is prescribed. Brother, please know that we are all thinking about you and wishing both of you the best.
