Hey guys I just wanted to let you know that I will be traveling for the next month or so (Road trip from Dawsonville, GA to Dead Horse, AK) and will most likely not have internet service for parts of it, so it may take a while to approve your posts and make website updates.

Paul, I remember QL19 very well. On 11 MAR 1968, I was trying to drive piles for a bridge and we got hit with RPG's but we won the battle. I only had 29 days to go until DEROS. We all came out alive. Never will forget that day.

The coordinates of 13.865869 109.013493 appear to fit like a glove.I drew a line to phu cat air base from the coordinates 6.27 miles and a azimuth of 22.30. I remember watching the air base getting hit at night from one of the OP's I also remember going to a village west and north of the base and and seeing an old cham tower that was pictured on the map. We used to wash our 3/4 in the river west of us on QL 19. A morning of memories thanks to our members and Google Earth.

Denis Cowand, Answer to your question. A veteran with out combat duty can get health care through VA. All they have to do is go to a VA hospitly and get signed up. If I can do anything, let me know.

Does anyone know if a Veteran without a service connected disability and who served after the Korean War and before the Viet Nam war is eligible for Veteran health benefits?
