Thanks, Perry for the update. The ones going out to remember our fallen brothers is a special thing
for the families and those of us who returned to live our lives and have families. Remember those who gave all. |

The "Latest News" page has been added to our cornucopia of items to choose from. Check it out right there in the menu on the left. You can submit any news you would like to see added to that page by simply clicking a link and filling out the form. We will review it and add your content accordingly.
The "Latest News" page is where you will need to go in the future to keep up with what's happening such as, new members found, photos added, reunion changes or additions, recent deceased members, etc. Although very interesting (not), your wife's burnt brownie disaster yesterday or your grandkids soccer game news will not be deemed 589th worthy news. Save that sort of stuff for Facebook. Cheers... |

***589th Updates***
1) The C Co Em Platoon Vietnam Wall Mini photos are now uploaded. Look under Mini Reunions. 2) I have the Fort Hood Mini video and photos and I am working on getting them added. 3) I am working on getting all the photos taken at our HOF Memorial services uploaded. 4) Ralph Maxwell's C Co photos have been uploaded. 5) The Blog Page is back on the menu. We will hopefully be adding some new content there soon. 6) I am considering adding a "Recent News" page to put stuff like this on it rather than the Guestbook. 7) I have been working on making the site more "Smart Phone" friendly. Be patient on this one! 8) We are still working on adding a couple more Mini's for this year so hang in there. 9) I am getting over 1,000 photos from 1LT Barry V Hanson who was the 589th design officer from May68-May69. The few samples he has sent are some of the best quality I've seen. These will take some time to sort out and get uploaded. Other than that...I'm all caught up! |

In response to Nick’s post.
No, a special notice was not sent out regarding the posting of the minutes of the 2016 Reunion on the website. The logic was that if we were going to send out a special notice to everyone, we would also include individual copies of the minutes and eliminate the need to post them. With two choices, it was simply a matter of how I wanted to be wrong. In regards to the 2017 reunion, nothing is posted yet but will be in the next couple of months. While Perry was making other modifications to the site, he went ahead and made accommodations for the 2017 Reunion information, although the tab is empty – it wasn’t a ploy to confuse anyone. |

I see the minutes have been posted for the 2015 Meeting so thank for that. Was a notice sent out about this as I did not receive anything? I also see that Reunion 2017 has been added to the Menu Bar but nothing happens when I tried to go there. Is this an error or is there nothing to be posted yet. I wanted to sign up but obviously could not do so. I assume we are meeting in Branson again and if so can we book rooms yet? I know it is early but with Mini Reunions I want to be sure I keep those dates open and get my reservations made as can be afforded. Any information would be greatly appreciated,

Perry, we tried that but the arrow doesn't seem to be working. Any thing else to try? Thanks, Terry
Reply I'll send you an email with a link Brother and some questions about your operating system and browser.
If you are not using Google Chrome try downloading that browser and installing it. Chrome is head and shoulders above Safari and IE Explorer. |

Hey brothers i'm like everyone else, its hard to not say anything about our political climate in America right now but my family has had first hand dealings with what happened in Chattanooga last year..it hits close to home when you meet and share with the familys of these atrocities and our so called leaders dont have the "nads" to stand up and call it what it is!But enough about that,Perry did i ever send you the paper i found that lists names of A and D co's men that were awarded the Arcom medal on 23 march 1971? it contains their names and ss nos.and rank.I can send this to you if you want.
Reply Bob,
No I don't believe I did see the list of A and D company names. Please send me a copy and I'll do some sleuthing buddy. My address: 7325 Sawgrass Dr, Dawsonville, Ga 30534. You can also scan the list and email to me too. Thanks Brother |

Terry, that's an easy one Brother. Look under Fallen Brothers/Since Vietnam on the menu bar.
Not sure how up to date it is though. I'll see if I have others that have been reported but have not been added. Thanks for asking. |

Perry, Becky thought when she was looking through the web site for the 589th, she found where there was a list of brothers who have past away since Vietnam. She can't seem to find it now or is she going crazy, maybe both. Can you tell us where she found it

So many of us who have experienced what we have, the very worst and the very best of learning about those things in life and death which jump up and grip us with the reality that we have a genuine love for one another. Not a watered down version, but the stuff that lasts like surviving a mortar burst or listening to an AK round burn past you and explode a sandbag alongside your head. Mights well say it we have most all of us been there. I love and appreciate my brothers because I have seen them firsthand , who they are and what they are willing to do, for me and everyone who believes in Liberty. So I agree, lets leave the high and to right or high and to the left hysteria for the pundits. They only wish they could have what we have, and that is a genuine love for Liberty and one another....Nodof!
P.S.... Don'T THINK i misspelled anythin.... |
