Now that's the way to encourage our members to express their views. If they don't agree with yours then let the discussions begin. Poor excuse for a commander in chief I'll agree.

In regards to determining what topics are appropriate for the guest book, what we are debating is freedom of expression. Legally, there must be special circumstance surrounding the denial of the freedom of expression; an example is denying the right to yell “fire” in a crowded movie theater. That’s understandable, however, I am not so sure anyone should be denied the right to express their feelings about our worthless president, or about our dysfunctional congress, or about the ineptness of the Veterans Administration. When a person expresses an opinion about our idiot president, I think most of what they are trying to do is educate those that refuse to recognize the obvious. Instead of discouraging those individuals from expressing themselves maybe we should be encouraging them. I would love to read anyone’s justification of Obama.

Brothers like said I did not intend to offend anyone by my post. I was stating what I thought we were all about and did not want to see it shut off as it was once before. If you remember that then you remember that your post were not instant like they are now. I do not agree with what Obama did either and I do not like the fact he went to Nam (Just wish he was there when I was)! Whatever the Guestbook is used for is fine with me as long as we all know the rules and procedures. I do not care how we do it as long as I can continue to share my thoughts with my Brothers and not offend anyone. You are correct Willie and I exercised my right to speak out also. Now who the heck is gonna be the next President? Sad choices to choose one! Love to all my 589th Brothers!

Hey Men,

I think maybe it's time for a discussion about what we should allow and should not allow on our Guestbook as far as our member's postings go. Maybe we should leave it like it is and restrict it to happy thoughts as has been the case or maybe we could argue that it's a place for freedom of speech too. It seems to me those that gave their lives for the right of all of us to do that are being silenced by those that did nothing.

Should we maybe let the guys slug it out?

You must admit it would make for a much more lively Guestbook for everyone.

A disclaimer at the top could simply state that "Views seen here do not necessarily represent the views of the 589th Association."

It's just a thought. Feel free to comment.

Nick, this is a free country. I have the right to say what I want to. Hank was right, what was the moron president Obama doing in Vietnam? As I remember we were there fighting for our country. So what in the HELL was he there for? Trying to make us look like idiots.

Nick, I'm sorry for saying anything about the worst President in the history of the United States. I will not post any more comments on the guest book ever again after this one.

Hello Brothers! I enjoy reading the Guestbook as does every one else! Please remember that the 589th Engr Bn Assn is supposed to be non-political and stay out of elections. I do not intend to speak out of turn but I hope we all use the Guestbook for what it is intended and not to vent, speak about or promote our political beliefs. I know we are all for our Country as we all served it. Lets use the Guestbook for what it was meant and not use for anything else! do not intend to offend but that is what the Guestbook is for from what I know about it. Thanks for understanding and Love to all my 589th Brother Members!

Hank, I feel the same way you do. This so called president we have is an insult to this great nation. He has also ran our country down. To, top it off he went to the middle east bowed to kings like a stupid idiot. We have never had a president to do that. This SOB has disgraced our country long enough. He has to go and we sure don't need Hillary. I'm voting for Donald Trump and don't care who knows it.

Can anybody tell me what our moron President is doing? He makes a trip to Vietnam, and I saw on the news, that he wants to lift the ban on selling weapons to Vietnam. To add insult to injury, after all of our soldiers died over there, including some of our brothers in the 589th, to have our President make such a stupid decision like that. It wasn't the first stupid move that he made, he traded 5 Taliban leaders for Staff Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl who deserted his post. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Thank God we only have just under 8 months to put up with Obama.

Thank you Randy Joyner for stepping up and volunteering to to place flowers on Jessie James Tyler's grave this Memorial Day in Neeses, SC.

Randy actually volunteered several months ago but yours truly completely forgot to get him added as an HOF Volunteer. SBT!

Randy brings the total number of volunteers to 54.

Thanks again to all of you from your 589th Brothers for honoring our fallen and their next of kin..
