Dennis thanks for the info.I wasn't sure if it was Laos but when they got back everyone knew it was Cambodia. Some things come and go but for some reason that one came to mind the other day.Funny reason i remember was at the shop the welder was going to weld holes in whispers fuel tank shut without taking cap off..needless to say that didn't turn out too good!Shop had to replace tank!I remember him saying"went all the way over and back to Cambodia, being shot at and then my own guys try to blow me up when i get back!" Ya gotta love it!

But with that being an obvious possibility, the incredible sight of the revered outhouse totally torched, flames at least 30ft into the air, fuel man, nozzle of hose in hand, appreciatively observing his work...and the sound of our three striper Sgt.'s beligerant cursing echoing across and through our equipment...it was a great scene at the time, never to be forgotten... This is just the best to read everyones memories. We were pulling out of our camp at the Baily Bridge on QL 14 when the 3 striper told the fuel man to burn the shit in our glorious 2 seater we had built . It sat on the perimeter facing outwards for modesty, a highpoint in the B Company code of conduct. It could have been the wind that distorted the order as it wafted across our small compound ... :toast:

Dennie, If my memory serves me I think it went like this; C Company (since that is what I was in) Company Commander was Charlie 6, His driver was Charlie 66. PLT Leaders were Charlie 61 for 1st platoon etc. The Company XO was Charlie 6 Xray. A double 66 with the designation fr the officer was the driver. Don't know for sure but that is what I remember. Don't remember how the First SGT or PLT SGTS went by. But I am pretty sure all of C Company had Charlie in their call sign. Hope this jogs some other memories maybe!

Hello Brothers,
Just had an interesting question from a friend. He asked what our radio call signs were in Vietnam and I had to tell him I didn't remember.
Can anyone send me the "Official" call signs for BN HQ staff and any or all the companies. I would certainly appreciate it.
Send to my email if you like.

Welcome Home Brothers. Thank You For Your Service.

Well, it goes like this. I have an old friend from High School who got shot up while on a field outing in Khe San. He made it home and finished school , became a psycologist. Anyway , I put a little company together who's acronym spells ARk. Thus the "Noah" handle. So Nod is sort of Noah of Dallas, and "of", is oh fer petes sake I cant remember.....Nodof

Joseph Seehorn, I know I've probably heard it before but remind us again what Nodof means. I'm sure I'll kick myself when you tell us, but WTF it won't be the first or last time!
