Each month I read my Vietnam Magazine it brings back memories and reminds me of why we did it! We did it for God/Country but we did it mostly for each other! We always looked out for our Brothers! As I read the stories about units and what they did you do not read about Engrs, especially Const Engrs. It makes me realize that we are lucky that Dennie Pendergrass and Larry Jinkins put so much time and effort into “OUR BOOK”. It makes me proud of what we did and how we did what needed to be done. They made a movie with Mel Gibson and Sam Elliott about the La Drang Valley in 1965 and LZ X-Ray; we were “Young Too”! Thanks again Dennie and Larry for helping me remember that it was worth it if for no other reason than to help my Brother

A 2016 50th reunion at Fort Hood would be great to have in March or April. How does that sound to all of the Boat People of the 589th Engr. Bn.Assco.

We missed Branson this year--10 of us from HHC 1969-71 met in Southport, North Carolina spread across and beyond the weekend. I hope that we can come to an agreement on where for 2016-not HOOD in the summer, please--it's hot enough here in Minnesota then. The idea for a 50th is great--canwe amicably agee on a sit soon??

good day all, i dont know about the rest of you but us c co, guys had a small problem with fort hood , there was a very mean and evil person there and his name is lybert he was a cap. at hood and was shipped out to Nam and that was a good day , later after we got to Nam we were sent to different places and just my luck lybert was with the 19th combat engineers and i had to deal with him again , he was a bad officer and not a good soldier , so there are really no good memories of fort hood beside meeting great and wonderful people , ALL BUT LYBERT , sorry guys count me out on the fort hood thing , i dont need any more flash backs then i already have , welcome home carp
